Anchorage To Whittier Transfer What Is There To Do In/around Whittier, Alaska?

What is there to do in/around Whittier, Alaska? - anchorage to whittier transfer

Taking a cruise in September ended in Whittier, and plan (to spend a few days and perhaps even before one week), or in the berth, before flying home. What travel "day" in this area would you recommend?

  1. I thought very hard on this point. I know, who do most things that are fun in the winter. As the "Fur Rondy" and "Summer" Iditarod is more difficult for me. Whittier is so small, but beautiful. We do not drive any more, because they go Whittier 15.00 burdened by the new tunnel. There is a train from there to Anchorage. Hopefully Girdwood stopped when you could see at first Portage Glacier. Perhaps you take the ferry and enjoy a salmon dinner on board and see a series of postage stamps and possibly a whale. On the way to the big city are not always the mountain goat steep slopes.
Going to Anchorage, our visitors and the city center and speak with the natives drunk lol, they are fun. You may tourists. We sat SA market now. The museum is great! I live in Big Lake (Matsu Valley) on the way to Denali National Park and MT. McKinley and Fairbanks. Here are 2 websites. I hope you enjoy.
